A Purchasing Specialist is required to join a leading Life Science Business based in County Waterford. This is a permanent role offering hybrid working (2 days per week on-site). This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career within a growing procurement function.
This varied developmental role will give you the opportunity to grow your experience in P2P, Supplier Relationship Management, Category Management, Contract Negotiation and managing purchasing projects.
Key Responsibilities Support Sourcing initiatives across direct and indirect category areas Develop spend analysis and gather market intelligence Support P2P process to ensure all process and checks are followed.
Liaise directly with Supplier for Negotiating various contracts with vendors on quality, price, and delivery Support category sourcing strategy for defined portfolio through business need assessment, Market intelligence, Supplier evaluations and sourcing choices Data analysis and support for purchasing projects (supplier master files, item pricing files, price agreements, contracts, quarterly reporting of KPIs savings reporting).
The Person Bachelors Degree within a Technical or Business discipline, preferably in Supply chain 1-3 years of related work experience of working in a purchasing role or other commercial capacity.
Demonstrated skills in sourcing, procurement, and Supplier management, preferably in Purchasing environment, would be preferred. A customer focused approach to align with business priorities and meet the business needs. Ability to engage, interact and negotiate value enhancing relationship with suppliers. Good communication skills, both verbal and written are required.
