Full-time, 39 hours per week Reports to: Laboratory Manager Beacon CARE Fertility is seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician/Andrologist to join our esteemed team in Sandyford, Dublin.

Job Purpose:
As a Laboratory Technician/Andrologist, you will play a crucial role in performing treatment and diagnostic andrology/semen analysis, DFI testing, and sperm cryopreservation/thawing.
You will also provide essential support to embryologists in maintaining the laboratory environment, procedures, and records.
Duties:
Conduct semen analysis and sperm preparations according to SOPs.
Perform sperm cryopreservation and thawing procedures.
Participate in external quality control schemes.
Maintain laboratory equipment and conduct routine quality checks.
Manage stock levels and liaise with the embryology team for ordering supplies.
Prepare laboratory setups and assist with witnessing procedures.
Collaborate with other departments and CARE centres as required.
Attend staff meetings and contribute to research projects if necessary.
Qualifications:
Degree, diploma, certificate, or equivalent qualification in Medical or Biological Science.
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
Previous laboratory experience preferred.
Proficiency in computer usage and data handling.
Ability to work effectively in a clinical assisted reproduction laboratory setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with compassion and empathy for patients undergoing fertility treatment.
