Job Description
We are seeking a strategic Business Analyst to work with a leading Irish brand, based in the South East of Ireland.
The successful candidate will report to the IT Applications Manager and be responsible for delivering and optimizing systems and process improvement initiatives that drive business performance.
This is a hybrid role based with a client in Kilkenny, requiring 2-3 days on site.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish business requirements by collaborating with various stakeholders across Ireland.
* Draft business cases, conduct requirement-gathering workshops, and compile scoping documents for relevant initiatives.
* Develop feasible implementation plans by resource type.
* Design and deliver value-added systems initiatives to drive business value.
* Deliver progress reports to business units and IT management teams.
* Gain an understanding of system operations and functionality.
* Implement projects and assist with support calls as needed.
* Provide expert knowledge across functional areas to respond to business requirements.
* Liaise with stakeholders/teams to identify, architect, and design solutions.
* Analyze business systems and data structures.
* Assist Project Managers in following set procedures to ensure consistency across projects.
* Help develop Business Process & Systems Development/IT team into best-in-class and share expertise with other personnel.
* Manage Application Support service to meet SLAs.
* Provide second-line support to key users.
* Offer training and instructions to key users when necessary.
* Analyze error trends to reduce downtime.
Key Requirements
* Third-level IT or Business qualification.
* Experience with handheld technology systems is an advantage.
* At least three years' Project or Business Analysis experience.
* Proven track record of successful project delivery.
* Ability to gather business requirements and produce functional specifications.
* Strong data analysis skills and attention to detail.
* Experience in data query tools desirable.
* Ability to develop new views of data.
* Good testing skills to verify reporting results.
