Position Description
This is an opportunity to work as part of a leading-edge team in Ireland's Ardnacrusha hydropower generating station and on the Shannon Scheme. We have been generating electricity on the Shannon since 1929.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fault-finding and maintaining assets in accordance with the technician's specialist technical discipline.
* Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the CMMS+.
* Supervising and directing contractors.
* Writing and implementing procedures and working instructions.
* Comply with corporate, statutory safety and environmental obligations.
* Carry out authorised roles under the safety rules.
* Liaise with other departments as required or directed and support teamwork across all departments.
* Act as team leader in a 'hands on' capacity in the absence of the team leader.
* Environmental, Health & safety and quality management responsibilities.
* Carry out Project work and other activities as directed.
Experience and Qualifications:
* Essential:
o At least 3 years' experience in Electrical/ Control & Instrumentation Maintenance.
o Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of HV/MV/LV electrical systems and E&I systems.
o Ability to organise and prioritise work.
o Good communication skills.
o Good IT Skills.
o Electrician with time-served Apprenticeship - FETAC level 6, Junior and Senior Trades or equivalent.
* Desirable:
o An understanding of mechanical, heavy rotational and pressure systems is desirable.
o Experience in liaising with relevant statutory bodies and contractors.
o Experience in project management and good planning skills.
Location:
This position will be based in Ardnacrusha Generation Station, Co. Clare.
Reporting To:
The Hydro Team Member, E/I Technician reports to the E/I Supervisor - Ardnacrusha Generation Station.
