Job Title: Avoca Learning & Development Specialist
Location: Can be based in one of the following Avoca stores Rathcoole, Dunboyne or Malahide with travel from time to time to other Avoca locations.
Reports to: Avoca HRBP with a dotted line to Aramark L&D & DEI Director
Position Type: Full-time Permanent
This new & exciting hands-on role is pivotal in re-invigorating Avoca's customer service experience across its cafes, food halls, restaurants & retail spaces ensuring not only that a premium customer experience is delivered by trained & engaged colleagues but to also deliver financial growth across Avoca. This role requires innovation, operational & commercial savviness whilst upholding Avoca's values of quality, craftsmanship, and exceptional service.

The successful candidate will be a key stakeholder in enhancing the learning experiences in Avoca of primarily Frontline colleagues. They'll also play an integral part in supporting the career paths across Avoca's 1,000 colleagues.
Role & Responsibilities
Training:
1. Annual Needs Analysis: Conduct annual frontline Learning & Development needs analysis using Avoca Talent Scorecard data, engagement survey results, and the Avoca HR People Strategy.
2. Learning Plan Development: Develop a learning plan that suits the needs of the business and our people and communicate the annual frontline Learning & Development plan to all stakeholders.
3. Program Delivery: Deliver training programs tailored to business needs and client expectations.
4. Onboarding Support: Facilitate an engaging 'Warm Welcome to Avoca' onboarding and induction process.
5. Customer Experience Training: Create and deliver training to ensure consistent, high-quality customer service across all locations.
6. SOP Design: Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) ensuring adherence to hygiene and safety regulations.
7. Aramark Initiatives: Support the development and delivery of Aramark (parent company) learning and development initiatives.
8. Train the Trainers: Ensure sufficient trainers across all locations to support ongoing training needs.
9. Learning Excellence Centre: Establish a centre dedicated to learning and development excellence.
10. Refresher Training: Design and deliver necessary refresher courses.
11. Compliance Training: Ensure 100% compliance with mandatory training, such as Health & Safety and Business Conduct Policy.
12. Dashboard Management: Create and manage monthly dashboards for tracking and reporting learning activities to senior leaders.
13. Interactive Content Creation: Develop engaging training materials, including graphics, animations, videos, and live demonstrations.
14. High-Quality Training Delivery: Ensure all training is timely and meets high standards.
15. Effectiveness Evaluation: Use metrics and feedback to continually refine and enhance learning experiences.
Talent Development:
1. Development Programs: Collaborate with stakeholders to create and deliver development programs for continuous frontline colleague growth.
2. Collaborative Learning Environment: Promote an environment that enhances knowledge, understanding, and engagement.
3. Apprenticeship Programs: Identify and coordinate external apprenticeship or accredited programs beneficial to Avoca, considering budget constraints, OR develop internal apprenticeship programs when external options are unavailable.
4. Program Coordination: Manage the participation of Avoca colleagues in relevant Aramark internal programs.
The ideal candidate:
1. Operational experience: 2 to 3 years' experience creating and delivering training using blended methodology, including digital, virtual and in person, alongside strong operational experience in Hospitality / Retail is essential for this role.
2. Relevant Experience: Proven experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs. Experience in conducting training needs analysis and developing tailored learning solutions is highly valued.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency with eLearning software (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and other training tools. Familiarity with data analytics to measure training effectiveness.
4. Soft Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills, the ability to engage and motivate learners, and excellent organizational and project management abilities.
5. Impact Metrics: Demonstrated ability to show the impact of training programs through metrics such as improved employee performance, increased retention rates, or enhanced customer satisfaction.
6. Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, including senior leadership, to align training initiatives with business goals.
7. Creativity and Innovation: A knack for creating engaging and interactive training content that caters to different learning styles and keeps learners engaged.
