Do you love singing challenging and rewarding music in a friendly committed group with a wide range of ages and nationalities? Do you have good vocal technique and sight-reading?
Are you available for rehearsals near Dublin city centre on Thursday evenings?
Our award-winning chamber choir has an exciting opportunity for a small number of high-level choral singers to join us for our 10th anniversary concert in April, featuring a world premiere from an emerging international composer, and our organ festival concert in June.
Cuore is an internationally award-winning mixed-voice amateur chamber choir based in Dublin, founded by professional conductor Amy Ryan in 2014. Members include current and former professional singers, music teachers, conductors, academics (including music), professionals working in other disciplines, college students, recent graduates and retirees.
Our most recent term included vocal workshops with Aisling Kenny and Eimear McCarthy Luddy (Vocology Ireland), a solo charity performance on the NCH main stage in October, candlelit carols for charity in the Pepper Canister Church, and our own Christmas concert, topped off with 'Best Overall Choir' and 'Best Contemporary Irish Work' in RTÉ lyric fm's 'Choirs for Christmas' competition.
If you’re interested in fulfilling your choral ambitions for 2025, we would love to hear from you! A typical Cuore year includes weekly rehearsals from September to early June, one or two weekend rehearsals a term, a workshop with a vocal/language coach or guest conductor, three or more concerts a year, informal performances at Christmas, regular social events, and a trip to a competition or festival in Ireland or abroad.
