Our client is currently recruiting multiple technicians in our Life Safety Systems field engineering department. The successful candidates will be based in Dublin, Wicklow, Kildare, or Wexford, but not limited to these areas, as we provide nationwide service.
We are looking for enthusiastic and driven people who can competently service and repair fire alarm systems, emergency lighting systems, kitchen fire suppression systems, portable fire extinguishers, and fire doors to Industry Standards.
Main Responsibilities include:
1. Service and maintain fire detection alarm systems, kitchen fire suppression systems, emergency lighting systems, portable fire extinguishers, and fire doors in accordance with agreed service and maintenance contracts.
2. Provide regular reports on activities that will enable management to plan strategic and operational direction for the field engineering team.
3. Support sales team by specifying customer needs through the provision of expert advice during on-site inspections.
4. Respond to customer queries and resolve issues promptly and courteously.
5. Respond to emergency activations and other attendances advised through service.
6. Attend product training when necessary and attain and maintain comprehensive knowledge of all our client’s product range.
7. Provide accurate reports on PPM disciplines, including fault finding and adaptive risk assessment.
8. Repair, fault find, install, and commission all Life Safety Systems.
9. Respond to Call Out Requests during and outside working hours within agreed timescales and participate in our weekly shared On Call Rota Schedule.
10. Utilize our Mobile Work Management App to electronically record maintenance activity and parts used.
11. Interact face to face with customers on site regarding their maintenance requirements, including generating appropriate service certification and obtaining agreed signatures.
The ideal candidate should have the following:
* Some electrical experience in a similar service maintenance role is an advantage but not wholly necessary as in-house training and external certified industry courses will be provided.
* Knowledge and/or experience within the Life Safety Systems industry is an advantage but not wholly necessary as in-house training and external certified industry courses will be provided.
* Over the age of 25 is desirable, however, no younger than 22 years of age due to fleet insurance requirements.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A full clean driving licence is essential.
* A demonstration of ability to work well as part of a team.
