Job Description:
As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction projects.
Responsibilities:
* Site Preparation: Set out and level the site to ensure quality control, including concrete quality through cube sampling and slump testing.
* Pre-Pour Checks: Verify shuttering, steel, and other dimensions before concrete pours and maintain materials reconciliation records.
* Record Keeping: Keep detailed records of all site activities, including maintaining a site diary and uploading materials to the Document Management System (DMS).
* Site Supervision: Supervise both directly employed and subcontractor personnel working on various aspects of the construction project.
* Health, Safety, and Environment: Ensure strict adherence to the company's health and safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures on-site.
Requirements:
* Qualification and Experience: Hold a relevant engineering qualification with 2-3 years of experience working for a building contractor, preferably on commercial projects.
* Technical Skills: Possess strong IT skills and a solid understanding of surveying instruments and equipment.
* Personal Qualities: Demonstrate the ability to work independently, solve problems, and thrive in a team environment.
