Overview:
PepsiCo Cork is looking to hire a Continuous Improvement Senior Engineer/ Specialist based in Cork.
PepsiCo Global Concentrate Solutions (PGCS) brings the flavours of PepsiCo to life, supplying beverage and snack flavours for many of PepsiCo’s mega brands including Gatorade, 7Up and Pepsi. We are at the heart of PepsiCo products, sourcing flavour and functional ingredients to manufacture more than 1,200 concentrate recipes for our brands. This role is a key member of the productivity team driving the Productivity agenda in Ireland for the Carrigaline and Little Island plants, removing waste from the process, optimizing production output, and supporting investment for growth to deliver a reduction in the cost base.
Summary:
The role is responsible for driving the productivity pipeline generation for the Carrigaline and Little Island sites, as well as working with Global teams and Functions to partner with our customers (internal + external) and stakeholders to evaluate opportunities and identify areas for improvement. The role will focus on improving business performance across the various sites.
Responsibilities:
Performance Improvement:
* Consult with site teams regarding process capability improvements, decide on area priorities and mentor team members on the execution of process improvement actions and problem-solving skills that will drive the delivery of P&L Productivity.
* Drive and champion KPIs for True Efficiency (TE) improvements, Y&U improvements, Best practice sharing and adoption.
* Ensuring solid governance and benefits realization.
Productivity:
* Drive the Productivity agenda for the Ireland Manufacturing Plants, removing waste from the process, optimizing production output, and supporting investment for growth to deliver a reduction in the cost base.
* Own productivity pipeline development for the Concentrate business in Cork and the Food Flavours business. Work with the Global team to partner with our customers and stakeholders to evaluate opportunities and prioritise areas of focus.
* Influence project selection through ongoing discussions with sponsors and stakeholders.
* Own the monthly Productivity review meetings for Cork Operations, Ireland Supply Chain and Food Flavours. Work in partnership with Ireland Finance to track productivity savings and report in an accurate and timely manner.
* Deliver individual productivity projects or programs for the business.
Qualifications:
* Certified Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt required.
* Understanding the overall end-to-end product journey from R&D, product design through to finished product, production & distribution.
* Proven Program/Project Management skills.
* Experience in Capex process, engineering projects, and vendor management.
* BS/BA degree or equivalent, engineering or Lean or similar degree required.
* Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple/detail-oriented tasks as part of the Productivity team and/or individually led.
* Proven track record successfully leading people and process change management, operating in a similar role, within a manufacturing environment.
* Effective presentation and communication skills (verbal and written).
* Intermediate to advanced skills in Power BI, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Minitab and SAP.
