Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Chief Engineer Ro Pax located on the Irish Sea or English Channel. The Chief Engineer will oversee the daily operations of the engine room and manage maintenance of all mechanical equipment onboard. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, coordinating repairs and inspections, supervising engineering staff, and maintaining inventory of spare parts and supplies. The Chief Engineer will also monitor and maintain the vessel's propulsion and auxiliary systems, prepare reports, and liaise with shore management and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
* Extensive experience in marine engineering, particularly on Ro Pax vessels
* Strong knowledge of safety, quality, and environmental standards in the maritime industry
* Proficiency in mechanical systems, propulsion, and auxiliary equipment maintenance
* Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
* Valid STCW maritime certification and licenses relevant to the Chief Engineer role.
