The Senior Fund Accounting Analyst is responsible for maintaining the accounting books and records of its fund clients, acting as an intermediary between the funds and the investment advisors, and preparing financial statements and regulatory reports for the funds.
What you'll do: Communicate with the funds' investment advisor.
Calculate the funds' expenses and accruals.
Process shareholder activity and reconcile to the funds' transfer agent.
Maintain accounting records.
Perform security and cash reconciliations.
Ensure funds are in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Calculate and report the funds' Net Asset Values (NAVs).
Analyze changes in funds' values in relation to broader market fluctuations.
Assist with the preparation of financial statements and audits as requested.
Strictly adhere to established departmental fund accounting processing procedures and controls.
Meet client and investor reporting deliverables and deadlines.
Maintain a good working relationship with external clients as well as with internal relationship managers and other business units within SEI.
Train, coach, and mentor employees on the team where appropriate.
Carry out all duties assigned to your role under the Company's Safety Statement, to ensure Health, Safety and Well-being for all employees for whom you have responsibility.
Complete adhoc tasks/projects as required.
What you will bring to the table: 12 months+ experience in Fund operations with experience in Alternative Funds.
P.C.
proficient, particularly regarding Excel and Word.
Third level qualification in Finance or Business.
Previous experience working in fund operations, particularly in Private Equity funds.
Knowledge of the Advent Geneva system.
Knowledge of the SunGard Investran system.
Knowledge of the Investment (Financial) Services industry in Europe.
