Part time roleThursday to Sunday inclusive Main Tasks or key responsibilitiesRoutine Maintenance and RepairsAssist with routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical and general repairs.Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas to identify maintenance issues and address them promptly.Ensure all maintenance requests are completed efficiently and to a high standard, maintaining the hotel's quality and safety.Preventative MaintenanceSupport the implementation of preventative maintenance schedules to minimize future repair needs.Regularly inspect equipment and facilities to identify areas requiring proactive upkeep.Assist with basic upkeep of hotel assets and systems to ensure operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.Guest Service and ResponseRespond to guest maintenance requests courteously and promptly to minimize disruption and enhance guest experience.Maintain a professional and approachable demeanour when interacting with guests and staff members.Safety and ComplianceAdhere to safety protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.Identify and report any potential safety hazards, ensuring corrective action is taken as necessary.Keep all work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.Team Collaboration and SupportWork closely with other departments, especially housekeeping and front office, to respond quickly to maintenance needs.Support the Maintenance Manager or Group Facilities Manager with larger projects and hotel upgrades as needed.Assist with training new maintenance staff on best practices and safety standards.Inventory ManagementAssist with inventory control of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, notifying the manager of any necessary reorders.Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored securely.Key Requirements:Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systemsGeneral handyman skillsPainting Gardening Health & safety awarenessAbility to troubleshoot and carry out routine inspectionsStrong time management and prioritisation skillsGood communication and teamworkFlexibility to respond to urgent issues
