Key Responsibilities:
* Maintenance of predominately Electrical and Mechanical Systems.
* Maintenance Management System administration.
* Participate in Maintenance Management meetings and workshops.
* System owner of complete systems e.g. Toll Control equipment and building facilities.
* Provide On-Call cover on a rostered basis.
* Assist in the implementation of equipment and process upgrade projects.
* Manage and support projects to improve equipment reliability, performance and availability.
* Develop, manage and supervise projects undertaken by the Maintenance Department.
* Completion of Preventative Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance paperwork.
* Contribute to the improvement of the Preventative Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance systems.
* Control Safe Work Permit and other safety registers.
* Participate in Health & Safety meetings and management of assigned actions resulting from action plans.
* Prepare and review internal procedures, method statement and risk assessments.
* Ensure Health and Safety and Quality compliance.
* Review and approve external contractors’ procedures, method statements and risk assessments for their works on site.
* Responsible for the management of local contracts (appointment, monitoring and evaluation of Contractors).
* Work with engineers and suppliers to identify and solve problems and to improve the reliability of tolling systems.
* Support the Management team in delivery of the Operations and Maintenance agreement.
* Assist with budget and expenditure reports.
* Deliver Inductions and Toolbox talks.
* Develop and manage small projects.
* Other maintenance activities as directed.
Qualifications:
* 2nd level education
* 5 years previous experience as a maintenance technician
* NFQ Level 6 (e.g. Advanced/Higher Certificate in electrical/mechanical/computer systems)
* Computer literacy – Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook / Report writing and experience in trouble shooting
* Safe Pass
* Desirable to the Role:
* MEWPS
* Working at heights
* H&S Related training – First Aid, Fire Warden, Manual Handling. Safety Rep.
* ECDL or equivalent
* Other complementary work-related training courses/qualifications
Experience/ Knowledge Required:
* Relevant technical maintenance experience
* Experience of developing and implementing programmes of planned/preventative maintenance
* Experience in implementing Company policies and procedures
* Knowledge of the standard methods, equipment, materials, tools
* Awareness of the occupational hazards associated with the full range of activities involved in the maintenance works
* Awareness of the safety precautions necessary to control these hazards
Desirable to the Role:
* Experience in a similar role
* Experience of maintaining a tolling system or similar 24/7 system with hardware/software components
* Knowledge of the standard methods, equipment, materials, tools, and practices used in performing the toll system maintenance requirements
* Experience of operating and maintaining building management systems
