Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Responsible for the hands-on running and maintenance of plant, utilities, and equipment.
* Conduct business in a manner that will protect human health, safety, and the environment by complying with all applicable EHS laws, as well as technical standards.
* Perform day-to-day preventative and demand maintenance as required.
* React to calls from the helpdesk/client ticketing system regarding plant and facilities.
* Carry out building checks, readings, etc., and complete appropriate paperwork.
* Liaison and coordination of external contractors for maintenance activities, including follow-up work.
* Hands-on role in troubleshooting, fault-finding, and maintaining equipment to ensure proper operation and service of equipment and utilities to plant standards.
* Complete and record work permits and reports as required.
* Resolve technical issues effectively and in a timely manner to support operations.
* Ensure equipment/systems meet legal, divisional, and corporate standards, and that safety standards are adhered to.
* Communicate effectively with plant management.
* Responsible for operating engineering functions in line with the plant quality policy with minimum supervision.
* BMS monitoring and control.
* Work with Mechanical and Electrical technicians to manage and maintain multi-disciplinary equipment.
* General plumbing repairs, water management, tea station repairs, etc.
Ad-hoc/Project Requests
* Ensure tenant areas are maintained according to schedule.
* Stock control of maintenance materials on-site, including ordering requirements.
* Ensure stock and storerooms are kept tidy.
* Maintenance of all storage facilities in one building.
* Use CMMS System to receive, understand, and sign off on work orders.
* Use email systems to communicate with clients and colleagues.
* Use spreadsheets, mobile, and laptop as required.
Person Specification
* Experience in a similar role with knowledge of plant and equipment such as boilers, chillers, compressors, HVAC, water, and sprinkler systems.
* Excellent problem-solving, IT, communication, and customer service skills.
* Must have a dynamic approach to achieving continuous improvement.
* Must be self-motivated and able to motivate others.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Third-level engineering qualification or trade qualification preferred.
* Previous experience in a corporate environment.
* Knowledge of operating various ticketing software/CMMS systems.
