NPI/Validation Engineer
Main Responsibilities:
* Represent the quality function of technical support in conjunction with other internal support groups to resolve manufacturing issues on global customer accounts.
* Serve as liaison with suppliers or customers on global quality-related issues.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain QA plans for global new product introductions using Advanced Product Quality Planning and Process Optimization specific to the customer.
2. Provide support for quoting activities by participating in initial process design, development, and implementation phases.
3. Evaluate and provide input to inspection processes via inspection aids and instruction guidelines.
4. Support global training programs by developing and implementing specialized training sessions for applicable functions.
5. Develop systems for document storage, access, and review pertaining to global customer accounts.
6. Review supplier, internal, and customer discrepancies, coordinate, and track corrective/proactive action efforts.
7. Conduct periodic reviews and maintenance of documentation files; develop systems for document storage and access.
8. Participate in vendor survey activities as applicable. Drive proactive participation with suppliers and aid in their process improvement efforts when possible.
9. Interface with all departments according to Policies and Procedures.
10. Provide insight and assistance in implementing and maintaining Process Improvement and Optimization using proactive methodologies.
11. Assist in driving the standardization of manufacturing processes for global customer accounts.
12. Provide technical support on quality issues with the customer as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and five years' related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
