Responsibilities: Service and repair HGVs, including engines, brakes, suspension, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using specialist tools.
Replace worn or defective parts such as tyres, brakes, and steering components.
Ensure all vehicles meet safety and legal standards.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections.
Work with the workshop team to manage workloads and minimize downtime.
Attend roadside breakdowns when required.
Follow health and safety regulations, keeping the workspace clean and safe.
Requirements: Experience as an HGV technician or similar role.
Relevant mechanical qualifications (QQI or equivalent).
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of HGV systems, engines, and diagnostic tools.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
