The Assurance Technology Risk & Quality support function within the Assurance Digital and Transformation (ADT) is charged with executing several key activities that will allow them to identify, control, and monitor technology risk to support the broader Assurance practice.
We’re looking for an experienced, highly motivated and proactive manager candidate, ideally with a strong knowledge of PwC’s internal processes, procedures and ISQM 1, to work alongside key stakeholders to ensure compliance with our risk and quality standards.
This exciting role provides the opportunity to work directly with very experienced partners and their teams across a diverse range of technological resources.

Key areas of focus of the Assurance Technology Risk & Quality Manager include:
1. Maintain an inventory of technological resources and execute an annual plan to assess the reliability of the technological resources utilised.
2. - Assess risks related to the use of Assurance technological resources that support our system of quality management.
3. – Design, implement, operate and monitor controls for these resources that align with PwC Technology Risk frameworks (NAST, QMSE) and support ISQM 1 compliance.
To deliver the above - the Assurance Technology Risk & Quality Manager would be expected to:
4. Perform a leading role in identifying, controlling, and monitoring technology risk within Assurance practice.
5. Oversee the day-to-day operations of Technology Risk & Quality processes and controls - contribute to the development, maintenance and automation as required.
6. Implementation and manage periodic reviews as per global frameworks; including but not limited to NAST and QMSE.
7. Develop strong working relationships with a number of key and senior stakeholders across the Practice including, but not limited to; ADT, ARQ, NIS, OGC, Data Protection, Third Party Vendors and Business Process Owners.
8. Collaborate with key stakeholders to demonstrate critical compliance with PwC Risk Frameworks and ISQM 1 requirements.
9. Communicate with key stakeholders to ensure that processes are followed. Provide practical guidance to help stakeholders navigate our internal processes and frameworks.
10. Maintain a proper balance between business and operational risk.
11. Contribute to the on-going communication and education programs required to maintain technology risk and quality objectives in Assurance.
12. Provide support to the PwC internal and Regulatory reviews.

Requirements:
13. A minimum of five years professional experience in internal or external IT Risk Assurance.
14. Strong understanding of ISQM 1 at minimum - knowledge of NAST, QMSE, and other relevant PwC frameworks would be an advantage.
15. Proven experience in managing technology risk. Demonstrate strong internal controls and audit knowledge with prior experience of reviewing and/or establishing business processes and controls.
16. Demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of, or the ability to learn, the regulatory requirements involving the documentation, review, retention of evidence, including reproduction thereof for regulatory purposes.
17. A self-starter with an innovative mindset who is proactive and driven in managing a job to completion, with experience functioning under pressure to meet deadlines.
18. Excellent leadership and team management skills - working proactively with others towards a goal with the ability to navigate both internal and external hurdles through change and risk.
19. Strong project management and organisational skills. Very strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high quality work.
20. Strong verbal and written communication skills.The ability to explain complexity in a clear, succinct way, providing advice and recommendations to influence decision making across stakeholders at all levels.
21. Credibility and presence to lead and actively participate at meetings with senior stakeholders - not afraid to push back or challenge the status quo.
22. Strong interpersonal skills, openness and ability to make own connections.
23. Self-critical, with a view to always improve processes.
