Main Function: We are Loaf Catering, a social enterprise supporting people with learning difficulties and autism into jobs with a future.
Loaf Café in Kilmainham serves brilliant food to a great number of visitors a year, whilst also supplying corporate catering to the wider Dublin area.
We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Team Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will have a love for food, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for training and developing our participants. This is a fast-paced catering business with a real purpose. You will support the Food & Beverage Manager in the day-to-day running of this café to ensure everything meets our high standards.
Reports to: Chef Manager
Hours: 30 hours per week
Salary scale: €21,000 per annum
* 25 days annual leave plus 10 statutory days (pro-rata)

Main Responsibilities:
1. Bring your love of food and great service to our café and use that passion to ensure our café is presented to our high standards, providing the highest quality of service that we are recognised for, while sharing that passion for excellence with our participants.
2. Using your knowledge of food safety and allergens, ensure that the site meets our high standards and that all paperwork is complete to keep our customers, participants, and team safe.
3. With your keen eye for detail, ensure that all food leaving the kitchen meets our brand and quality standards.
4. Support the management team in achieving our financial targets including sales, gross profit, and control of labour.
5. Lead by example, manage a tight ship with a drive for results, and support your team to ensure they share this vision.
6. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and support your professional growth.

Minimum Requirements:
1. Experience working at a supervisory level in a catering/hospitality environment.
2. An understanding of Health and Safety procedures including COSHH and HACCP.
3. Experience of providing excellent customer service.
4. Experience of cash handling, stock and portion control, and meeting GP targets.
5. Ability to work weekends and evenings.
6. NVQ Level 2 in Catering and Hospitality.
7. Experience of working with adults with learning difficulties.
