Main purpose of the role:
Ensure the Grocery Department operates efficiently and effectively at all times. Provide our customers with excellent quality products and customer service.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
1. Minimum 1 year experience in a management position
2. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
3. Excellent communication skills
4. Good delegation skills
5. Highly driven with a strong work ethic
6. An understanding of how to achieve KPIs and targets
7. Commerciality and brand awareness
8. Passion for grocery retail
9. Thrive in a fast-paced working environment
Main duties:

2. Communicate the required operating standards to all employees and ensure they understand and implement such standards at all times
3. Drive sales through instore initiatives
4. Merchandise and present the department to the highest standard at all times and in accordance with relevant store planograms and guidelines
5. Adhere to weekly stocktaking and daily waste procedures in the Grocery Department
6. Liaise with the management team so as to ensure that weekly gross profit, net profit and sales targets are achieved
7. Conduct quality and freshness checks
8. Attend relevant training as required and implement learnings in store
