Job Description:
Auxilion are seeking a Business Data Architect to design, implement and maintain data solutions leveraging Microsoft technologies while ensuring data accessibility, accuracy and usability.
Data Architecture Strategy
Data Semantic Layers
* Develop and maintain data semantic layers that provide a unified view of the organisation's data, enabling consistent and meaningful access to data assets.
* Ensure that data is organised in a way that facilitates self-service reporting and analysis.
Big Data Models
* Design and implement complex data models for big data systems, including data lakes and warehouses, to support advanced analytics and machine learning.
* Optimise data models for performance, scalability and data processing efficiency.
Microsoft Platform Expertise
* Utilize Microsoft Azure and other Microsoft tools to implement data solutions, leveraging Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics and other relevant services.
* Work with Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB and other Microsoft databases for data storage and retrieval.
Data Integration and ETL
* Implement ETL processes for extracting, transforming and loading data into data platforms, ensuring data quality and consistency.
* Develop data integration solutions using Azure Data Factory, SSIS or other Microsoft tools.
Data Governance and Compliance
* Implement data governance frameworks and oversee data compliance, ensuring that data is secure and adheres to relevant regulations and best practices.
Requirements
* Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.
* Extensive experience as a Data Architect with a specialisation in Data Semantic Layers, Big Data Models and Microsoft platforms.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Azure services, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics.
* Strong knowledge of data modelling, ETL processes and data integration.
* Excellent understanding of data governance, security and compliance.
* Strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.
* Relevant certifications in Microsoft Azure and data-related technologies are a plus.
