Job Summary
This is a permanent role based in Galway, reporting to the Financial Controller. The successful candidate will be responsible for completion of month end functions, preparation and analysis of financial reports, and coordination of financial statement drafting.
Responsibilities
* Complete month end functions to support timely and accurate management reporting.
* Prepare and analyze monthly departmental cost reviews.
* Draft monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
* Coordinate the drafting of Group single entity financial statements.
* Participate in half year and year end reporting, including financial statement preparation.
* Prepare quarterly VAT returns.
* Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to support audit and tax delivery.
* Support annual and quarterly budgeting processes.
* Implement financial and accounting policies and procedures for stronger compliance and internal control.
Requirements
* Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with 2+ years of experience and relevant industry expertise.
* Strong technical background in US GAAP and IFRS.
* Self-motivated and innovative individual with excellent communication skills.
* Ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders.
* Strong controls background, including SOX and internal audit exposure.
* Advanced analytical capability and knowledge of Net Suite/ERP systems.
* Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
