Research Focus
The strategic priority of the UCD Schools of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine is to research antibiotic resistance, building on recent advancements in S. Aureus pathobiology and ongoing recruitment efforts for an Assistant professorship in clinical microbiology.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct research into fundamental mechanisms underlying antibiotic resistance and antimicrobial agents.
* Develop new pharmacologic approaches to treat infectious diseases leveraging endogenous antimicrobial agents, such as lipids and peptides.
