About the Role
We are delighted to be working with an established Accountancy Practice based in Roscommon, who are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Newly Qualified Accountant to join their Audit/Accounts team.
Key Responsibilities
* Audit: Plan, execute, and finalize audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients. Conduct fieldwork, including testing and analysing financial data, ensuring compliance with audit standards.
* Prepare audit files and draft reports with actionable recommendations for clients. Identify potential issues and provide practical solutions to improve client operations and financial processes.
* Accounts Preparation: Prepare financial statements for companies, partnerships, and sole traders in compliance with FRS 102 and other relevant standards.
* Assist clients with their management accounts, budgeting, and financial analysis. Perform reconciliations, journal entries, and other accounting tasks to ensure accurate financial records.
* Client Advisory and Compliance: Support clients with tax compliance and filing of VAT, PAYE, and corporation tax returns.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Qualification: ACA, ACCA, or CPA qualified - part qualified candidate will also be considered.
* Experience: 2+ years of experience in an accounting practice environment, with exposure to audit and accounts preparation.
* Strong knowledge of Irish auditing standards, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Relate, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
