We are currently looking for a Biochemical QC Analyst to join our team in our award-winning business in Bray, Ireland.

What you’ll be doing:
* Preparing installation and test validation procedures/protocols to ensure product is manufactured in accordance with appropriate regulatory agency validation requirements, internal company standards, and current industry practices.
* Compiling and analyzing validation data, preparing reports, and making recommendations for changes and/or improvements.
* Performing biochemical analyses of raw materials, in-process samples, intermediates, and finished products (particularly enzymes and carbohydrates) by traditional wet chemistry and biochemical techniques (i.e., spectrophotometry) or other relevant techniques.
* Scheduling QC workload to ensure all products are tested in a timely manner.
* Liaising with other departments in relation to QC testing, especially in-process sample analysis, to ensure accurate transfer of information from the laboratory to these departments.
* Troubleshooting of analytical methods as required and guided by the senior members of the QC Team to ensure proper functionality.
* Stability studies of new and existing products.
* Packing of enzyme products (standalone enzymes and kit components).
* Reporting of non-conforming work by raising non-conformances, review, and approval of QC corrective actions.
* Adhering to SOPs, reviewing and updating SOPs, analytical methods, and other relevant documents as required.
* Maintaining all laboratory notebooks, records, and reports to a high standard.
* Calibration and day-to-day maintenance of analytical equipment.
* Fully support the Quality Assurance team in continued compliance with all QMS requirements.
* Adhering to standards in the area of health and safety within the laboratory; fully support the H&S team in compliance with all H&S requirements.
About you:
* You’ll have practical skills, knowledge, and experience of Biochemistry.
* You’ll be familiar with the equipment used in Biochemical laboratories.
* You’ll ideally have at least 1 year of industrial experience.
* Having knowledge of carbohydrate chemistry and Quality Management Systems would be an advantage.
* You’ll have a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry, or a related discipline such as Biotechnology/Food Chemistry/Molecular Biology.
* You’ll be able to read and interpret technical data and procedures.
* You’ll have excellent record-keeping, IT, and organizational skills with the ability to adapt to and prioritize a busy workload.
