Role Purpose
This role is an exciting opportunity to work with the Ireland team in our cultural relations work in Arts and Education (higher education and non-formal education).
The Project Coordinator Role Supports The Team In Ireland:
* Through coordinating and communicating project activities, managing relations with delivery partners, ensuring efficient and timely operational, financial, compliance and reporting activities.
The British Council office in Ireland is located in the EU Region of the British Council global network. We are the only global network office to share a language and a land border with the UK, and in this context we have an exciting relationship with the UK Region, the EU Region, and the wider global network of the British Council.
Our work sits within a larger programme of multi-country programme activity in the EU region and the Project & Partnerships Manager will liaise regularly with colleagues across countries in the network.
Accountabilities
Relationship and Stakeholder Management
* Manages relationships with partners and stakeholders at appropriate level.
* Manages relationship with vendors and suppliers and holds them to account for delivering services.
* Responsible for relevant, regular and timely flow of communication to stakeholders.
* Supports Country Director and Project Manager in stakeholder and partner-related activities.
Managing self and others
* Holds vendors and suppliers to account for delivering services.
* Has the ability to work independently, multi-task and manage workload.
* Manages competing tasks and deadlines with the ability to prioritise.
Project Coordination and Management
* Responsible for project coordination and communication, including website updates, social media; coordinating and administering annual reporting.
* Manages projects administration, selection & evaluation, and procurement processes.
* Manages and coordinates events-based components within a programme.
* Supports the Country Director and Project Manager in implementing a cultural engagement programme.
* Responsible for data management including quality assurance of data, undertaking basic analysis of monitoring data, and developing progress reports when required.
* Supports internal compliance such as due diligence, timely data entry, records management, data collection and storage.
* Supporting equality, diversity and inclusion - mainstreaming action plans and contributes to these.
Financial Support
* Maintain clear and up-to-date records on all financial transactions as per internal and external audit requirements.
* Ensure relationships with vendors are maintained and payments are processed on time and in accordance with FABS on-line system (SAP Finance) guidelines.
* Compliance to BC financial policies and procedures and (if relevant) to external funder/partner requirements.
* Plan and report on project financial plans and budget expenditure, cash flow and forecasting; manages smaller budgets.

* Experience of working in a supporting role on programmes or contracts.
* Administrative and financial administration and reporting experience.

* Experience of working with external partners and stakeholders.
* Evidence of good marketing and communication ability.
* Excellent verbal and written skills in English (minimum B2 standard).
Essential Role specific knowledge and experience:
* Good knowledge and understanding of Arts and/ or Education.
* Experience of working in a supporting role on programmes or contracts.
* Administrative and financial administration and reporting experience.
* Experience of working with external partners and stakeholders.
