Support Engineer, CMT Promotions Excellence

We are looking for a Support Engineer (DevOps, Systems, Data Engineering, and Software Engineering skills) to own automating operational/development work. This will include identifying and resolving issues, automating and improving repetitive processes, and working closely with the development team.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Owning troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing operational issues.
* Developing monitoring solutions.
* Performing infrastructure maintenance and configuration.
* Updating, tracking and resolving technical challenges.
* Working alongside development, updating/enhancing our current software.
* Automation of support processes and documentation of our systems.
* Collaborating with tech, product and operations teams that own promotions systems.
Key Job Responsibilities:
* Leading all the support activities and setting up best practices within the system.
* Regularly working with development teams to establish and improve service support.
* Operating with limited guidance from management and driving issues to resolution.
* Understanding the business logic and architecture of supported services.
* Providing mentoring, training, documentation and tools to other Support Engineers.
* Contributing to the creation and improvement of all support documentation.
* Helping develop and refine operational policies and procedures used by the team and internal customers.
* Working on large scope support projects and leading other Support Engineers on smaller projects.
* Participating fully and constructively in the planning of the team's work.
* Contributing to design and development of support tools using software engineering best practices.
* Mentoring other Support Engineers and may be involved in hiring.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* 2+ years of software development or 2+ years of technical support experience.
* Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
* Experience in Unix.
* Experience scripting in modern programming languages.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development.
* Experience troubleshooting & maintaining hardware & software RAID.
* Experience with REST web services, XML, JSON.
