Medforce are hiring a Radiation Therapist, Clinical Specialist for a highly reputable acute facility in County Galway.

As a Clinical Specialist Radiation Therapist, you will play a key role in the implementation and development of advanced radiation therapy techniques. You will provide clinical expertise, mentorship, and leadership in the delivery of high-quality patient care, ensuring adherence to best practices and technological advancements.
Duties:
* Provide specialist care within a designated clinical area, ensuring safe and accurate radiotherapy planning and treatment.
* Perform and verify specialized dose calculations and complex planning data throughout the treatment process.
* Ensure radiotherapy equipment is safe and operational, reporting faults immediately.
* Maintain accurate records of equipment status and coordinate preventive maintenance as needed.
* Report incidents, errors, and near misses promptly, implementing corrective actions per hospital policy.
* Provide regular updates on clinical operations through the reporting structure.
Requirements:
* Bachelor Degree (Level 8) and Master Degree (Level 9) in Radiation Therapy or a related field.
* Current registration with CORU.
* Minimum of 6 years post-graduate experience in radiation therapy (expertise in advanced techniques such as IMRT, VMAT, SRS, or SBRT desired).
* Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience.
* Strong understanding of clinical governance and safety protocols.
