Job Title: Health & Safety Manager
As a Health & Safety Manager, you will positively drive towards an embedded HS&E culture, focusing on preventative actions, reducing injuries, and promoting health and environmentally friendly operations.
You will assist in ensuring all employees and sub-contractors are compliant with Health, Safety & Workplace legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Communicate effectively, translating HS&E compliance standards using modern software to direct the business presented in procedures, bulletin material, verbal support, mentoring, and coaching.
* Root cause analysis of accidents and preventing recurrence, conducting site safety inspections, and investigating accidents and dangerous occurrences.
* Represent the company professionally at all times, carrying out duties in the best interests of the company to promote Clancy company core values.
* Maintain company safety statements and safety policy, supervising and managing safety officers.
* Schedule and oversee site audits and inspections, assisting in implementing improvement actions as directed by the EHSQ director.
* Review and monitor site audits and trends to identify and resolve issues.
* Ensure record of statutory inspections are maintained for all activities and plant equipment, delivering statutory notifications to the Health & Safety Authority.
* Liaise with the PSDP as required, ensuring all employees and contractors have appropriate training and certifications.
* Manage and make recommendations for Personal Protective Equipment, assessing sub-contractor statements and method statements.
* Prepare and submit monthly safety department reports to the EHSQ director.
Requirements:
* A minimum of a Level 8 qualification in Health and Safety.
* Experience ideally within a main/specialist contractor.
* A strong and proven ability to influence change and be a champion of best practice.
