Key Responsibilities:
As a Software Developer Engineer within the Network Impact Reduction at AWS, you will provide world-class tools to ensure maximum network availability.
You will collaborate with the Network Engineering and Operations teams to automate and invent new ways of operating Amazon's Next-Generation Network.
You'll contribute to the development of the next generation of dynamic network automation tools.
You'll also be responsible for other automation tools used by network engineers across the whole AWS and Data Center Operators to coordinate physical remediation.
You'll create and review software design documentation, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with the Network Engineering teams to ensure fast and smooth roll-out of new designs and products.
Basic Qualifications:
1. Professional experience in software development.
2. Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including object-oriented design.
3. Programming experience with modern languages such as Java, C++, or C#.
4. Experience building complex software systems successfully delivered to customers.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
2. Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
