Responsibilities and Duties
* Develop, deliver, and manage daily operations to ensure a safe, developmentally appropriate environment for children, meeting regulatory requirements.
* Deep understanding of children's age-appropriate needs and development.
* Raise standards in early learning and care, role-modeling best practice to an outstanding level.
* Implement REACH curriculum, demonstrating links between early childhood education theory and practice, aligned with Aistear and Siolta frameworks.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, health and safety/risk assessments, as stipulated in Childcare Regulations.
* Effective business and people management skills, covering all aspects of the role.
* Excellent knowledge of child protection policies, in line with Children First requirements and guidelines.
* Lead programme development and evaluation, promoting culturally sensitive learning environments.
Qualifications and Skills
* FETAC/QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education or equivalent.
* At least five years' experience in childcare, with two years in a supervisory role.
* A strong passion for individual child needs and development.
* Full EU driver's license and access to a vehicle.
* Liaise with parents, guardians, and families, building parental partnerships.
* Line manage and supervise a team, supporting their continuous personal development.
* Communicate effectively in a clear and professional manner.
* Manage occupancy levels.
* Meet targets and deadlines, managing finances within allocated means.
* Understand TUSLA guidelines.
