About the roleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Operational Risk Associate in the Davy Group.Davy Risk is the independent second line risk function within Davy. We are a fast paced and dynamic team with responsibility for effective risk management across all Davy business lines and legal entities. We work closely with colleagues across the business to monitor their activities, provide guidance and assist with problem solving.As an Operational Risk Associate within Davy Risk, you will be involved in the daily activity of the Risk Function and will have exposure to a wide range of risk areas. You will work closely with our key stakeholders across the firm, including senior management; get exposure to all elements of the firm’s Risk Management Framework and assist in its evolution and development. Reporting to the Head of Operational Risk, this is an ideal role for candidates looking to develop their career in Risk Management within the financial services industry. In the role, the successful candidate will: Contribute to the effective management of risk within Davy by assisting in the implementation of the Davy Risk Management Framework. Support and participate in the execution of Risk activities and initiatives including those specific to Operational Risk. Collation and analysis of regular Management Information and metrics in relation to Operational and other areas of risk. Collate reporting requirements to Committees and Board across all Davy legal entities. Support senior management in risk initiatives and provide advice to the business on appropriate treatment and controls. Research and analysis of risk events as they occur – including engagement with the various business lines to assess impact and root cause. Compliance with the Risk and Compliance frameworks, policies and procedures associated with the role. RequirementsAbout you We are looking for somebody who has the following background and skills: Strong educational background (3rd level relevant degree and/or professional qualification) Experience in a risk-related role. would be highly beneficial Excellent communication skills (verbal, written English and presentational); Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Reliable self-starter with a structured approach to work. Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills.
