Job Title: Engineering Manager
About the Company:
Our client company, based in County Monaghan, is seeking an Engineering Manager to join their experienced team in the Food Manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and deliver on various Engineering projects.
* Work closely with stakeholders and keep them updated on project progress and any issues arising.
* Resolve engineering problems by collecting information, researching, analyzing, recommending solutions, preparing drawings, schematics, and diagrams, evaluating components, materials, and suppliers, developing specifications and safety standards, evaluating new equipment and techniques, and overseeing installations.
* Organize and coordinate internal teams and 3rd-party labor for project execution to a high standard, ensuring adherence to the overall project plan throughout the project lifecycle.
* Maintain project team accomplishments by communicating essential information, coordinating actions, obtaining expert input, reviewing open issues and action items, contributing information to team meetings and reports.
* Work closely with sites in the group to ensure projects are implemented quickly and efficiently, with minimal disruption to production.
* Sourcing of parts, liaising and negotiating with suppliers, following up on parts deliveries, and overseeing incoming parts when delivered.
* Assisting with engineering budgeting and cost analysis.
Requirements:
* Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* Project Management experience.
* Several years of industry experience in a similar role.
* Sound mechanical and electrical knowledge of equipment and processes.
* Previous experience in water treatment or automation would be preferable but not essential.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Able to work independently and within a team environment.
