About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative in our Kerry site in Listowel.
Workdays are Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00 with occasional weekend overtime.
As a Warehouse Operative you will help our Kerry team in Listowel in managing stock, deliveries, and the warehouse. You will have training for an IAA Air Freight License, so that you can manage air freights. Any previous experience as a warehouse operative, forklift operative, storeman, or machine operator will be beneficial.
What will I be doing?
* Ensuring all material inspections and checks are carried out prior to loading.
* Unloading incoming materials (dairy/raw materials/pallets etc.) and completing incoming inspections.
* Using SAP to manage stock in the warehouse.
* Air freight preparation and despatch.
* Chemical handling and bulk chemical offloading.
* Working in cold storage (chill and frozen).
* Maintaining a clean working environment in the warehouse and adhering to good hygiene practices and Company’s Health, Quality, Safety, and Environment policies.
* Working at heights and operating machinery - mobile elevating work platforms (MEWP), scissors lift, etc.
* Operating Forklift (counterbalance electric and gas; Aisle Master).
* Grading out product. Ensuring product labeling and packaging is correct.
* Storing materials.
* Liaising with managers, other teams, and 3rd parties where required.
What do I need to be successful?
* Demonstrate aptitude for decision making and the ability to manage a busy work schedule and tight deadlines.
* Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in work.
* Knowledge of SAP is beneficial, but not essential.
* Flexibility in relation to working hours and department according to the needs of the business.
* Ability to multitask and ensure targets are met.
* Demonstrate commitment, persistence, and ability to overcome setbacks to get the job done.
* Effective communication skills.
* Good numerical and computer skills.
* FLT License is an advantage.
* Garda vetting and background checks will be required for IAA Air Freight License.
