Testing Team Member/R&D Operator
Contract Duration: 12 months
Reporting to: Process Team Lead Research and Development
The primary function is to assist in the testing and prototyping of medical device products in the vascular R&D team.
Responsibilities:
1. Carry out any steps required for the build & testing of high-quality medical device products.
2. Adherence to COOK Quality system procedures and all associated documentation which is provided to employees in order to assist them in the build & testing of high-quality products.
3. Responsible for the completion of training in relation to the build & testing of product.
4. Responsible for inventory management for designated R&D projects.
5. Handling/preparing drug coated devices in a laboratory environment as necessary.
6. Ensure that a high standard of GMP and housekeeping is maintained at all times.
7. Adherence to all Environmental, Health and Safety requirements in accordance with company policies.
8. Support problem solving and root cause analysis teams when required.
9. Highlight any potential issues to team leaders/Supervisors.
10. Provide flexibility in working on any other tasks that may arise during the course of a normal day in a Test and Prototype build environment.
11. May perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
12. Working as part of a team.
13. Ensure that Cook’s Code of Conduct is considered in all business matters carried out on Cook’s behalf.
Qualifications / Requirements:
1. Experience in a test and production environment preferred.
2. Previous experience in coating/assembly/stent loading/packaging process steps, while not essential is advantageous.
3. Experience in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel while not essential is advantageous.
4. Previous experience in medical devices is essential.
5. Good communication and inter-personal skills.
6. High self-motivation.
7. Ability to work as part of a team.
8. Some flexibility as regards working hours/days.
9. Willingness and availability to travel on company business.
