Divisional Manager – Life Sciences

Our professional recruitment services include Permanent, Contract Recruitment Solutions, Executive Search and Managed Services. Employing 25 people, we recruit for the best companies placing candidates within roles across High tech, Finance, Sales, Supply Chain & Procurement, Marketing, Business & Customer Support Operations, Talent and HR. Moving into 2025, our strategy is to grow our Life Sciences division and appoint a Divisional Manager to drive new business acquisition, account management and deliver on senior appointments, in our existing client base as well as new clients. We have a small book of clients in Life Sciences, so this role will be focused on building the business in this space.
The role of Divisional Manager is a steppingstone role to being a Director with RECRUITERS.
Role Responsibilities:
* Recruitment Consultancy: This is a billing manager role, so you will also carry a personal target working on senior roles above a certain fee threshold.
* Business Development: Identification of new clients that align with our current business to build out our new lines of business, working alongside and utilizing our Sales & Marketing function as well as your own team.
* Motivation & Leadership: Foster a great atmosphere and culture to ensure engagement and that the team is aligned with overall company goals and values.
* Team Building: Take ownership of hiring and developing a team when the business warrants it.
* Account Management: Ensure all accounts are covered through the team and that you are engaged with key strategic accounts and dealing with major issues as they arise.
* Sales Pipeline: Track progress within the team and set goals, metrics, and ratios while monitoring these in regular one-to-ones.
* L&D: Ensure the team engages in our learning and development programme (e-Learning and in person) and coach day-to-day on helping the team solve issues related to their assignments.
YOU:
* You must have more than 5 years’ experience in Life Sciences recruitment (Pharma, Medical Devices, etc.) in Ireland with a solid network and be confident in your ability to bring clients with you using your existing relationships.
* Good experience and ability in people leadership (coaching style) in recruitment consultancy to upskill consultants.
* Strong competency in search and selection within recruitment in the Life Sciences space.
* Creative, fluent, and persuasive communication skills – both written and verbal with an emphasis on super listening skills.
* A Hunter – a born opportunist who can spot opportunities and investigate new companies to bring them on as clients.
* Super ability to build and foster new relationships in sales.
* Effective time management and great organizational skills.
* Someone who is hitting revenue targets and milestones.
* A positive outlook with strong emotional intelligence and resilience in the face of rejection.
* A natural networker with advanced relationship development skills.
* Entrepreneurial spirit and a good sense of humour.
