Job Title: Quality Assurance Co-ordinator/Manager
The role of the Quality Assurance Co-ordinator/Manager is to ensure that the onsite Food Safety and Quality Systems required for good manufacturing practices are in place, operational and maintained to meet all customer & legal requirements & to ensure a high level of food safety, quality, authenticity and legality in all products produced.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsibility for the Quality Food Safety systems on site to include although not exhaustive: HACCP / Plant Hygiene / GMP / Pest Control / Internal Audits / Customer Complaints
* Ensuring the systems in place deliver product quality to agreed specifications consistently
* Responsible for all matters relating to food safety and encouraging/promoting Quality Culture throughout the company
* Working closely with site Management and Team Leaders to lead a culture of continuous improvement
* Training of all staff on site
* Play a key role in audits on site i.e. 3rd Party, customer, regulatory
* Management of the site hygiene department
* Management of contract cleaning
* Planning and implementing corrective/preventative actions as required
* Ensure company policy and operational standards are always maintained
* Identify and action cost reductions
* Complete your duties while working in line with the site Health & Safety requirements
Requirements:
* 3rd level qualification
* 3-5 years experience in a Food Safety/Quality Assurance role
* Auditing experience to include internal, customer, regulatory and 3rd Party
* People management experience
* Flexibility
* Problem solving abilities
* Strong communication skills
* Computer literate
