ESH Manager - Full Time - Wexford, Ireland

Sulzer Pump Solutions Ireland Ltd (SPIRL) is part of the Flow Equipment (FE) division of Sulzer that specializes in pumping solutions to meet our customers' needs. With our onsite global design team, we engineer and manufacture products and solutions that support water recycling in a sustainable and energy-efficient way. Our products have been working hard in the environment for over 50 years. Over 100,000 pumps are manufactured in Wexford annually to control and clean water for a global market.
We are looking for an ESH Manager to join our FE_WIBU team in Ireland. The primary function of this position is the management of all Environmental, Health, and Safety activities, programs, processes, and procedures on site.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
* Promote and coach others in the Safe Behaviour Program and the ESH Management System.
* Ensure compliance with statutory and other requirements and identify opportunities that support continual improvement of the ESH Management System.
* Lead or facilitate actions and initiatives to help achieve targets and objectives and meet stakeholder satisfaction goals and the company’s overall corporate strategy.
* Day-to-day management of safety in addition to directing the site.
* Maintenance of an integrated management system and associated documentation within the requirements of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
* Ensure that Safe Systems of Work are developed and implemented for all activities, through risk assessment and operating procedures.
* Primary point of contact for statutory, regulatory, insurance, and certification bodies.
* Monitor and support the site in driving annual ESH-related objectives and KPIs.
* Ensure procedures for reporting/recording of accidents are complied with, monitor and report on all accidents occurring, and undertake investigations as necessary. (Intelex reporting system) Support managers to investigate accidents and incidents and complete effective Root Cause Analysis.
* Maintain waste management requirements and environmental monitoring program in line with license requirements.
* Alignment of services with the operations production maintenance team as needed.
* Proactively engage and support company initiatives designed to promote a culture of safe working.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Relevant ESH experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* Level 8 HETAC or equivalent qualification in Safety, Health, and Welfare at work.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* IT literate.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work with people at all levels of an organization.
