Post 1104/1105 Registered Nurse Platelet Apheresis Department National Blood Centre Full Time Temporary Specified Purpose National Blood Centre, Jamess Street, Dublin 8 The IBTS is currently recruiting a Registered Nurse full-time, temporary specified purpose, based in the Platelet Apheresis Department at our National Blood Centre located in Dublin. The Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS) operates nurse-led collection clinics, managed by a Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM). The role of the Registered Nurse (RN) on the apheresis clinic team is to work with the CNM to support the IBTS strategic priorities with regard to achieving operational excellence, improving customer (donor) experience and supporting better healthcare, ensuring compliance with current legislative requirements.. Essential Criteria: To be registered with NMBI (live register) in any division Have at least 2 years post registration experience, relevant to the role of the Registered Nurse in the IBTS Demonstrate experience in managing people Evidence of recent continuous professional development (CPD) Excellent written communication skills, demonstrating a high level of attention to detail and accuracy Proven IT skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook) and experience of working with electronic Patient Management / Learning Management systems The salary scale attached to the post is the Enhanced Staff Nurse salary scale €42,872 to €55,594 (incl. LSI) pro rata per annum. Entry point onto the salary scale is dependent upon relevant experience. The closing date for receipt of applications is 23.45 hrs (Irish Time) on 5th February 2025.
