Chase Resourcing Inc. are currently seeking a MEICA Project Engineer for our client in Ireland.
Reporting to the Project Manager, the MEICA Project Engineer will assist in the day-to-day aspects of project delivery. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of working as part of a team as well as using their own initiative to problem-solve. A superb salary package is on offer for the ideal candidate.
Responsibilities:
1. Support the Project Manager in the delivery of one or more projects.
2. Prepare and submit design documentation in consultation with the Project Manager and designers.
3. Engage with the supplier and sub-contract chain to select vendors for project delivery and provide recommendations on equipment selection as part of the design and procurement process.
4. Manage the delivery of materials in line with the works programme and progress on-site.
5. Co-ordinate sub-contractors and direct staff to ensure project delivery in line with the works programme.
6. Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental standards, policies, and procedures are always adhered to on-site.
7. Review, prepare, and submit detailed Method Statements and Risk Assessments prior to work activities commencing.
8. Supervise works on-site to ensure conformance with design and Employer’s Requirements.
9. Monitor progress on-site to ensure delivery in line with the works programme, adjusting workflow and rate as necessary to achieve or better the completion date.
Required:
1. Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a similar role, preferably in the water and wastewater industry.
2. Minimum of a Level 7 Degree in a relevant Engineering Qualification.
3. Extensive working knowledge of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013.
4. Experience in the design, construction, commissioning, and process proving of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation (MEICA) systems.
5. Ability to work as part of a team in project delivery and provide input at team meetings.
6. Active member of the Institute of Engineers Ireland (IEI) preferable.
7. Good working knowledge of MS packages such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
