Job Title: Health and Safety Manager
The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with current legislative requirements and maintaining safe work systems.
This is a full-time position reporting directly to the Site Director within a leading pharma organization in Co. Waterford.
Main Responsibilities:
* EHS Training: Provide relevant training as required to ensure employees are aware of their responsibilities.
* Safety and Environmental Risk Assessments: Propose and carry out risk assessments to determine acceptable risk levels and recommend measures to mitigate risks.
* Emergency Policies: Recommend and implement emergency policies and ensure specific control systems meet required standards.
* Accident Investigations: Investigate accidents and incidents as per policy and ensure agreed corrective actions are implemented.
* Statistics and Reporting: Provide statistics to management and health and safety committee.
* Policies and Legislative Compliance: Implement and ensure compliance with policies and current safety and environmental legislative requirements.
* Health Risks and Promotion: Advise on potential health risks at work, health of employees, and health promotion.
* Environmental Audits: Carry out external and internal environmental audits to ensure the company meets the required standards.
* Environmental Standards: Maintain and promote environmental standards throughout the organisation.
Ideal Candidate:
* Qualification: Third Level Qualification in Health and Safety.
* Experience: 5 years of experience in the health and safety sector within manufacturing, pharma, or construction.
* Desired Experience: Experience within Pharmaceutical manufacturing is desired.
* Knowledge: Knowledgeable in Process Safety Management.
