About us:
The Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge is a charming Victorian built 335 bedroom hotel including the Grandstand Bar and Restaurant and an underground car park. We also have a unique events & wedding space known as Thomas Prior Hall, two additional large meeting and events spaces and 4 meeting rooms.
Objective of the Role
The main purpose of this role will be the oversight and management of the delivery of food & beverage daily. The Supervisor will hold responsibility for the highest levels of guest satisfaction while ensuring operational and administrative support to Senior Management. The hours will involve a variety of early morning and evening shifts, and will include mid-week and weekend work.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Organise the daily tasks of the F&B team.
* Take food and beverage orders and serve guests in the bar and restaurant.
* Adhere to high service standards at all times.
* Possess a good working knowledge of food and wine and be able to make recommendations to guests.
* Deal with any guest issues or complaints.
* Be friendly, courteous and professional at all times.
* Assist in training & development of the F&B team.
* Ensure H&S and Food Safety standards are maintained at all times.
* Maintain a welcoming and professional atmosphere and ensure that regular guests are known and greeted accordingly.
* Up-sell and maximise sales revenue whenever and wherever possible.
Requirements:
* Previous hotel experience in a 3/4 star hotel property.
* Previous experience at shift leader / supervisory level.
* Bar experience.
* Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
* Micros Experience is desirable.
