Job Description
We are currently looking for a Utilities Engineering Technician (24 month FTC) at our Cork plant in Carrigtwohill. It is a modern ‘bulk tablet’ facility manufacturing solid and capsule formulations to deliver life-changing medicines in key therapeutic areas such as oncology and virology.
Role & Responsibilities:
1. To maintain equipment, facilities, and utilities as required by the maintenance program.
2. To troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.
3. To propose solutions to equipment, facilities, and utilities problems.
4. To report all equipment, facilities, and utilities anomalies.
5. To ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, FDA, HPRA, GMP, Safety and Environmental legislation and procedures.
6. To complete maintenance tasks through the site CMMS.
7. Adhere to CMMS System and SOPs.
8. Support Maintenance excellence programme by completing work orders correctly and by adhering to the weekly schedule for planned maintenance.
9. Maintain the plant, facility, and equipment in optimum condition and accurately complete all documentation and logbooks in a GMP compliant manner.
10. To assist in the drive for reliability excellence and the deployment of the PdM programme.
11. Identify and maintain spare parts and tools to ensure timely maintenance of plant & equipment.
Procedures and Training:
1. Prepare and update assigned SOPs.
2. Be familiar with and adhere to Engineering department SOPs and those of other departments as relevant.
Apply Problem Solving Skills:
1. To troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.
2. To take a lead role in maintaining plant electrical, steam, gas, water, LPHW, and HVAC services and distribution.
3. To take a lead role in maintaining plant purified water systems.
4. Become familiar with plant electrical supply and distribution.
5. Become familiar with all process and utility equipment.
Qualifications
* Craft Qualification in electrical or mechanical trades.
* 2 - 3 Years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry or equivalent.
* MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook.
* Excellent communication skills.
* English fluent written & oral.
