IT Test Lead Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT Test Lead to manage and support multiple IT/OT projects in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and interpersonal skills, contributing effectively to a team setting, ensuring the successful execution of various testing efforts across multiple projects.
Primary Accountabilities:
* Lead and manage testing efforts for multiple IT/OT projects with overlapping timelines.
* Define and implement standards, guidelines, and testing approaches for project resources.
* Actively participate in the creation and execution of test processes, strategies, and plans.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical project development teams, and project managers to align project schedules and implement test plans as needed.
* Drive and manage testing cycles for system upgrades and enhancements.
* Partner with superusers to support testing activities and ensure proper execution.
* Oversee end-to-end test processes, including sign-off, under the supervision of global test teams.
* Contribute to the creation and delivery of training materials and presentations related to testing processes and plans.
* Ensure that all necessary documentation is available to support end-to-end testing.
* Write and execute test cases as required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Test Lead, managing a team.
* Extensive experience in developing and implementing test plans, QA processes, and methodologies.
* Strong teamwork skills with excellent interpersonal communication, able to work across various functions.
* Familiarity with online testing tools (e.g., ADO).
* Solid experience in test data preparation and environment setup for comprehensive end-to-end testing.
* Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Capable of working under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong collaboration skills, working with business partners, developers, and support teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects and issues.
* Demonstrated ability in end-to-end software testing within both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Desired Skills:
* Technical proficiency in one or more of the following IT areas: Operating Systems, Networks, Active Directory, Databases.
* General understanding of OT/Automation technology (e.g., PLCs, Plant Historian, SCADA, ISA-95 Standard).
* Familiarity with control systems and tools (e.g., AVEVA InTouch, InBatch, Historian, System Platform).
