Our client based in the Galway/Roscommon area is seeking to recruit a Regional Service Manager to ensure excellence in standard of care to resident service users by providing care plan development, finance support, infection prevention, and attendance to medical appointments.
Role:
1. Provide a professional service in line with legislation and regulatory bodies, including the implementation of local and organisational policies.
2. Ensure excellence in standard of care to resident service users by providing care plan development, finance support, infection prevention, and attendance to medical appointments.
3. Provide effective, exemplary leadership and ensure training to care staff in cleaning processes, health and safety, professional conduct, care skills, medication management, and any relevant training required for their role.
4. Be proactive in service development initiatives to ensure the highest standards and optimal quality of life for older persons.
We are seeking applications from energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join the team on a full-time contract. Candidates must be highly motivated and creative, with a passion for care of the older person. The role will suit experienced, suitably qualified candidates with strong organisational and management skills. They will hold responsibility and accountability for the provision of the service, including ancillary staff and outside contractors. Accountable to Line Manager. Day-to-day duties will be available prior to interview.
Qualification / Experience:
Level 7/8 Degree in a Health or Social related qualification (or suitable equivalent qualification with management qualification in healthcare).
Knowledge:
3 years minimum managerial experience within a similar health or social care setting which provides care for older persons.
Skills:
1. Strong leadership skills.
2. Strong problem-solving skills and judgement.
3. Making critical decisions and recommendations.
4. Excellent organisational skills / self-motivation / self-starter.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication and IT skills.
6. Dedicated, reliable and flexible approach to work.
7. Skilled in advocacy and knowledge of GDPR.
8. Ability to continue to develop and implement safeguarding policies.
9. Full Clean Driver's license.
