Core tasks and responsibilities:
1. Deliver technical support to the manufacturing and testing of medical device instrumentation.
2. Deliver technical solutions to enhance product reliability and process capability.
3. Work within a dynamic engineering change environment; actively supporting New Product Introductions and engineering design change activities.
4. Work with R&D, manufacturing operations, quality, procurement and logistics to deliver product and supply base improvements to meet business needs.
5. Initiate and project manage product and process change activities and technology transfers while assuring continuity of supply.
Interested applicants should have:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (QQI level 8) with minimum of 3 years' relevant experience. Consideration will also be given to individuals with alternative degrees if balanced by relevant technical experience.
2. Structured analysis skills with experience in complex technical troubleshooting.
3. Strong manufacturing, mechanical/electromechanical/systems design skillset.
4. Knowledge or experience with programming languages LabVIEW and Python (C, C++ and C# are a plus).
5. Experience with test method characterization and test method validation, supported by statistical knowledge.
6. An overall ability to combine technical, design and manufacturing skillsets in a high pace, dynamic environment.
7. Strong project management skills and the ability to initiate and lead product optimisation projects on a cross-functional and cross-site basis.
8. Excellent communications skills, written and verbal.
9. Problem solving, planning, analytical skills. Ability to collate, analyse and summarise large amounts of data for decision making.
