We are actively looking for a Head Baker with a proven track record in the industry to join our busy gluten free bakery.
Position: The Head Baker will be primarily involved in the production of all products, with a requirement for involvement in and contributing to new product development.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure products are made to the required specification and are safe for consumers.
2. Scale, mix, deposit, proof, and bake all products in line with company recipes and systems.
3. Continually monitor processes and identify areas for improvement.
4. Make recommendations for improvements and follow-up on implementation.
5. Ensure customer requirements regarding products, processes, food safety, and quality are implemented.
6. Complete paperwork in real time and efficiently.
7. Contribute towards new product developments, working with existing and new customers to deliver on new product briefs.
8. Assist with inventory management, including ordering ingredients and ensuring the availability of baking materials.
9. Work as part of a small, close-knit team, supporting colleagues where necessary and contributing to a positive workplace atmosphere.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a baker, with a strong focus on new product development.
2. Passion for baking with a commitment to producing high-quality products.
3. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
4. Ability to work early morning shifts.
5. Strong attention to detail and pride in your work.
6. Good communication and teamwork skills.
7. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
