My client is a well established and respected top tier Main Contractor with a long held reputation as a top employer.
Due to a recent project win, they are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager for an industrial project in Kildare.
Ideally, you will hold a degree qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with at least 10+ years of experience, at least 3 years of which in a PM capacity.
Responsibilities:
* Personnel management - Engineers, Foremen, Site Management and labour.
* Agreeing project objectives in the areas of timely delivery, cost, quality and EHS performance.
* Responsible for the successful delivery of the project through leadership, management, technical and engineering expertise throughout the lifecycle of the project.
* Reporting to senior management on project progress, providing advice on the management of projects.
* Chairing weekly progress meetings.
* Regular and sustained information flow and contact with commercial team/quantity surveyor on claims, variations, and project cost control.
* Subcontractor performance review.
* Monitoring subcontractors' workflow ensuring guidelines are maintained.
* Monitor construction to ensure quality of workmanship and materials.
* Carrying out risk assessments.
* Work to resolve critical site issues.
* Co-ordinate project activities in accordance with company Quality System, Standard Quality Procedures and Engineering Specifications.
* Ensure smooth information flow from Design and pre-construction team.
* Coordinating and liaising with procurement department on long lead and critical items in line with the construction program.
* Overall responsibility for project performance.
