You will foster employee wellness on site and promote a culture of continuous improvement. As an Occupational Health Nurse, you will provide for and deliver health care to employees with a focus on achieving quality care and wellbeing.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide the company with an on-site Occupational health service, efficient first aid service, and emergency treatment service
- Complete gap assessments of the EHS management system and workplace environment to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Abbott technical and management system standards.
- Leverage technical expertise to collaborate with functional support teams providing advice and consultation on all elements of the OH management system
- Maintain standard work activities in line with the EHS calendar
- Lead initiatives related to internal business excellence programs including internal assessments, CI, and 5S
- Monitor all EHS KPIs and provide support, advice, and expertise to continually improve such performance areas.
- Conduct pre-employment medicals, health surveillance, and employee consultations. Liaise with Occupational Health Physician and internal/external stakeholders as required.
- Advise and guide employees on work-related issues where appropriate.
- Organize positive health awareness and initiatives through education and health awareness programs
- Act as company representative for employees' Health Insurance Scheme with regard to health and wellbeing initiatives, mini-medicals, annual flu vaccinations, etc.
**Experience and Qualifications:**
- Minimum Level 7 in a relevant discipline and 2+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Working knowledge and application of business concepts, procedures, and practices. Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in non-compliance with governmental regulations.
- Plans, organises, and prioritises own daily work routine to meet established schedule.
- Exercises authority and judgment within defined limits to determine appropriate action.
