About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to lead and develop a high-performance maintenance team within a dynamic manufacturing environment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of all associated systems and utilities, driving continuous improvement, and achieving departmental goals.
Core Responsibilities:
• Leadership: Manage and mentor a maintenance team of 5 technicians, supporting their development and ensuring alignment with departmental objectives.
• Budget Management: Develop and oversee the annual budget for the maintenance department.
• Compliance: Adhere to company policies and health & safety standards, ensuring all practices are followed.
• Maintenance Oversight: Continuously update preventive maintenance (PM) tasks and manage PM schedules using SAP. Organize shift and holiday rosters for the maintenance team.
• Technical Expertise: Troubleshoot complex system issues and manage risk assessments. Utilize Six Sigma processes for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Training & Development: Provide training and coaching to maintenance staff, and organize necessary development programs.
• Project Management: Oversee CAPEX and continuous improvement projects from initiation through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Contractor Management: Supervise external contractors to ensure maintenance repairs and projects are executed effectively.
• Audit Compliance: Address and resolve issues identified in GDP, BRC, and DAFM audits according to agreed schedules.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the correct maintenance of spares using SAP and manage calibration for temperature probes in various areas.
Qualifications / Skills / Experience:
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of recent experience managing a maintenance department within a manufacturing environment.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in SAP and capable of troubleshooting high-level system issues. Familiarity with Siemens PLC Step7 programs is advantageous.
• Software Proficiency: Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Organizational Skills: Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
• Communication: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to summarize technical aspects through report writing.
