JOB PURPOSE
Sales support role with a focus on developing and maintaining export sales volumes for CMA CGM Shipping (Ireland) Ltd.
Support Customers in the utilisation of “My Price / Aqua-Spot-On” and other digital quotation products as developed by CMA CGM Group.
Support a dedicated portfolio of Customers.
Follow-up on quotations sent, expiring, not booked.
Contribute to Dispute Resolution.
Contact with HO Pricers on Freight & DDSM Claims.
Promote CMA CGM Group Services and Non-Maritime products (e-commerce, VAS, Intermodal, Ceva X-Sell).
Act as a back-up for Outside Sales or Inside Sales.
Ensure customers are matching compliance rules (Obnoxious Cargo, Dangerous Goods, OFAC etc) at the sales stage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Tasks will include but are not limited to:
1. Client contact by phone, e-mail & face-to-face Customer meeting & visitations when required.
2. A portfolio list of current & target clients to be developed & maintained.
3. Pro-Active calls to clients for specific sales actions as directed by the sales manager.
4. Be a lead pricer for rate quotations & follow-up.
5. To provide key input with planned target sales & marketing campaigns.
6. Implement Annual tenders & Request for Quotations.
7. Implement the company policy for development of E-Commerce.
8. Assistance on customer services matters, service issues & Client disputes as & when required.
9. Visits to CMA CGM Group offices overseas as and when required.
10. To make sure that the customers are aware of all charges and all chargeable events are notified and freighted.
11. To issue to all internal and external sales staff all freight tariffs / rate sheets / surcharges and amendments as guided by Head Office and/or the Trade Manager(s).
12. Liaison between customers, the outside sales teams and customer services and HO on negotiation of freight rates. This also involves timely handling of all inward emails, sales leads, progress chasing.
13. To actively promote targets and assist with the planning of outside sales calls.
14. To systematically record sales activity on the company’s Customer relationship Management Systems (Lara, LISA-CRM).
15. A weekly review of the Sales RFI levels as it relates to Sales RFI in order to keep within the target levels as specified by the HO.

1. Good Communication Skills both on phone and face to face with Current and potential Customers.
2. Excellent organisational and communication skills.
3. Confident to meet and build customer relationships.
4. Experience within the shipping industry.
5. Training will be provided by commercial team colleagues but Operations knowledge will be an asset.
6. Excellent interpersonal skills.

9. Excellent analytical skills.
10. Good teamwork ethic is essential for this role.
